Then parchment roses was placed under the dream/butterfly and to additional area's. Parchment flowers was added to the wire clock, cascading down the left side with a large cluster on the dome of the wire cage. with a single rose with a white organza bow on the right base of the cage.

The butterflies are created with a sizzix die  & layered. The edges of the butterflies are distressed with PowderedPuff chalking ink, Berry Jam or Blue Moon (from my stash 2010 it had been discontinued).

Dream is colored with Berry Jam chalking ink and clear smooch was added over the whole word.  Smooch was also brushed over the butterflies to make them sparkle.

The boxes are covered with patterned paper QQP-MB103 and QQP-MB 102. Each of the boxes I distressed the ended of the box with PowderedPuff chalking ink. Venice lace was added to the edge of the box with a flat braided trim. Venice lace was also added to the top of the bottom box.

The wood line was painted with white acrylic paint then pattered paper was added to the sides and the inside of the lid. Each butterfly was cut our using the patterned paper, layering  different patterned paper to highlight the details of the butterflies.

Mulberry "Love" Cards

Hello, crafty friends, today I am sharing with you two Valentines cards, I used the new paper line by Quick Quotes. Mulberry. I love the rich colors in this collection.

I started out with a 5.5 X 5.5" yellow/gold base card then I layered a 5 X 5" mulberry paper QQP-MB105 then used the opposite side displaying the strip side up. I cut three hearts from QQP-MB 103 and MB105,  used QQP-MB100 for the flourishes and the word "love". PowderPuff chalking inks distressed the edges of the mulberry paper.  Blue Moon and Berry Jam were the two chalking inks used on these two cards.

On the word "Love" I cut out the word out four times out of QQP-MB100 then layered them to make the word thicker and stronger. Finished the card with a small white lace trim and three roses.

Card 2 is also a 5.5 X 5.5 yellow card base, layered with QQP-MB105 then QQP-MB103. The edges where distressed with a distressing tool then inked with Blue Moon PowderPull Chalking ink. The sentiment was stamped with Blue Moon Chalking ink on a layered label using QQP-MB100 and QQP-102 chalking the edges of both labels with Berry Jam and blue moon chalking ink. The labels where layered over Venice lace.

Card 2 was finished off with two yellow roses and one blue rose with a blue organza ribbon.
