Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all my friends, family & blog sufferers.. Christmas is my most favorite time of the year. 

I love life and I get especially excited about the holidays. There's something special about this time of year .... the festive feeling, the extra opportunities to gather with love ones, watching the grandchildren play with anticipation on their faces,  the music, the giving, & most of all we celebrate the birth of our Lord & Savior, the one who was born to die for each of us. Mini bottles filled with all kinds of things from glitter to ribber worms, accented with vintage monopoly game pieces, The buffet was from my granddaughters doll furniture filled with beaded trim & fabric for towels.

Altered paper mache` dress form, I cut out two area's & placed chicken wire, altered it with Prima paper, IAR flowers, placed it on a crystal (glass) candle stick. Cut out the back of  the skirt & filled with lace, flowers & charms. I placed a acrylic drawer pull at the neck with lace & flowers

 I made this for a friend, it is a gift for her husband. He wrote the poem for her but she had this made for him. This was so much fun to make.

Great News ....... Drum Roll Please ........  

I am excited to announce that I have been selected to be a part of Gina’s Designs 2013 Design Team!!!!!  I have been so overjoyed with the news I was literally jumping for joy. Gina’s Designs has the most adorable laser cut chipboard pieces that anyone can imagine.  I can hardly wait to get started altering chipboard using many different media & techniques. This is a dream come true. 

With that being said I want to wish each of you a Merry Christmas, 

Christmas Advent Calendars

Hello, I have been getting ready for Christmas. & I have these two advent calendars for sell. I can make others as you would like, custom the boxes for you.

I finished this large canvas that I started at a Quick Quote's convention and had a blast. It is worth going to there convention if you can. They love to have fun.

Cracked Painting

I really like how this technique looks Surprisingly it is fairly simple to do. First you paint your base coat usually a darker color. Let that completely dry.  Add a small amount of water to Elmer glue then paint the glue over the base paint, let the glue get tacky then apply a top color (usually a lighter color) of paint. Let the paint dry. I use a heat gun - holding it 12 or more inches away from the project. You will then start seeing the crackling appear. her are a few projects that i completed.

Where as the time gone????

I can't believe that that last time I posted was in April.  I took on a temporary job & moving to Klamath Falls Oregon from Vancouver, WA  in April. The job has kept me paddling  to keep my head above water. I have managed to keep up doing crafting of all kinds.   I will post some of my creations.

April's Tag

This is the tag I posted under Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2012. I did not have all of the supplies that he used so I put on my thinking cap & came up with this. Be use to check out Tim's blog & look at his April tag.  I am so ready for spring to be here. http://www.timholtz.typepad.com/
I used a scripted stamp for the background, & used a Sizzix  embossing folder, using TH dies for the bird (Caged bird & branch from Pine Tree) using distressed ink pads, broken china, wild honey, shabby shutters, I used distressed stickles on the bird (sorry I do not know the colors). On the tree branch I used distressed embossing powder scattered straw over brown card stock. I placed a metal crown on the birds head & sweet metal charm on the bottom tied on with twine & colored peach. to finish the tag.

IARCC - MARCH 2012

I am roses color challenge using green, gold, glitter & two IAR products. This is my entry. I used a 6 X 6 cosmo cricit chipboad box painted it gold using Dazzling Metallics by DecoArt. Paper line is Graphic 45 "Once Upon A Spring Time".
