Live Laugh Love Pocket Letter

Hello Crafty friends, I am here to share with you a quick quotes project, I created a pocket letter using Quick Quotes Earth Wind Fire paper line *New & Quick Quotes Earth Wind Fire Chipboard Die Cuts *New

j
When I was creating the pocket letters I was keeping mind the monthly Quick Quote challenge for August which is "Flowers". I cut out each of the cards from a die using several of the papers from Earth Wind Fire Collection, on each of the cards I placed a Chipboard Die Cut embellishing each card differently using lace, trim, string, flowers & die cuts, with some of the die cuts I distressed the edges using PowderPuff chalking inks.  The finishing touches I added a strip of paper on the left side to give the spine more strength, and added a large flower & flourishes to the outside of the pockets.

Large flower & flourishes on the outside of the pockts  and the butterflies have been distressed using the PowderPuff Chalking Inks.

Butterfly Kiss layered cake

Greeting, today I am sharing a Layered cake I created using the Butterfly Kiss Collection. The butterfly kiss collection is so pretty & versitle. I got this idea from my 9 year old granddaughter who wants to make a craft cake for the fair this summer.

I started by adding paper to each layer of the cake,  top layer I used bliss, on the second layer I used Breeze, the third layer I used Peaceful & the fourth layer I used Butterfly Kisses. Once the papers were added each layer was added to the lid of the next larger layer.

Before each of the layers were added to the lids the lids where painted with white gesso then strips of the paper was adheried to each of the lid sides, & lace was layered around each of the lids then the layer box was then glued to to lid finished by adding a thin lace trim to the bottom of the container.

I created flowers out of several sheets of the paperline using sizzix dies as well as I fussy cut out butterflies from the 12 X 12 paper. The butterflies where finished by adding pearlescents to the wings of the butterflies. The layered cake was finished by adding lace, trim, appliques, flowers, birds & butterflies. Glimmer spay & glitter paste was then added to some of the flowers as the final touch to the layered cake. Thank you for spending time with me today, see you soon.
