Merry Christmas

I hope all have enjoyed the holidays and the majic of the holidays was everything you wanted or hope to be. Now that Christmas is over & as we look forward to 2012 and that it brings our way. New jobs, new children, new homes & new resolutions which by the way, I do not make new resolutions because all I would do is break them as fast as I make them.
Did you all keep up with the 12 tags of Christmas wtih Tim Holtz or the 12 projects of Chistmas with Laura from following the paper trail? Tim went over the top & Mario did a supper job behind the sceins. Laura had 12 great projects.I plan on doing as many tags & projects that I can. With that I am off to create a new project.....  Kathi

A Christmas album I got from Kathy Orta from Paper Phenomenon. It is coming together wonderfully. Check out her site, http://www.paperphenomenon.com she is a phenomenal artist.
While you are surfing also check out Anne from http://annespapercreations.com
she to is a phenomenal person & artist. I do hope to be on her design team one day.  Anne has created some wonderful dies.
For those who are interested Tim Holtzs is once again putting up or doing his 12 tags of Christmas. This is year #5. They are so much fun to make.

Happy Thanksgiving

It is now the end of November and Thanksgiving is just a few days a way. I am in California in the Shasta mountains, visiting my husbands family. I was hoping that I was getting away from the rain......what was I thinking after all it is fall.  It is nice to spend the holidays with family eating, visiting, shopping, & playing games.

I wanted to share a poem my mother in law wrote in the 1990's.  She is Dutch. Her sister Mineca shared this with us while we visited the farm (small vineyard).

"An apple pie when it looks nice would make one long ... to have a slice.

If the taste should prove it so, I fear one slice would hardly do.

And so to prevent me asking twice, would pray give me a good big slice".
                                                             Josina Damme VanWyck

During this time let us be thankful for all things .... big & small and keep in our prayers those who are less fortunate. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Halloween

Sorry I have been out with  phenonia, which has taken me out of doing basic things.
October was here and now almost gone. I enjoy halloween or at least the spirit of halloween. Children, camdy, costumes, knock on the door with kids yelling "trick or treat".
I have managed to complete my tall envelope mini, which I will share with all of you.  Which I will do the YouTube video today. I enjoyed working on this mini,  I am also designing childrens mini's for those to purchase. I will keep you posted on those kits.

Enjoy Halloween

Claudine Hellmuth Studio sticky-back canvas

Claudine Hellmuth Studio sticky-back canvas. By Ranger

• Self-adhesive backed canvas paper
• Available in White or Natural
• Acid free, non-toxic adhesive
• Sticks to many surfaces
• 5 sheets in every package
• Available in letter 81/2 X 11 or scrapbook page sizes 12 X 12

I was introduced to this product during a Tim Holtz technique class at the Scrappy Stamper and I love it. I have used it as a binding to one of my paper-bag mini books, as well as making roses.. It has many uses, stamp on it, color with markers, paint, dyes etc. Make embellishments with it. Put it through your die cutting system or cut with scissors. Have some fun & try it on your next project.

I really enjoy doing using anything Tim Holtz.  What is their not to like?  don't get me wrong I know not everyone likes all designers and we all gravitate to those we do like.  I like to  try different things and different techniques. Bring in on. I have tried spellbinders and found I am not fond of that product. Anyone with any other thoughts or comments?
